The Internet access system Home internet Solution (HiS) enables simultaneous data transfer and making use of standard telephone services over a one-pair copper line. The HiS system offers subscribers a high-speed, always on-line access to the Internet network with uninterrupted ordinary phone operation. Taking advantage of a telephone line for a phone call and simultaneously for transferring data at a speed significantly higher than that with use of a phone modem makes the HiS system an ideal solution for these users for whom a regular phone modem is not satisfactory in terms of achieved data rates and because every time a dial-up connection is necessary to get Internet access. An on-line link and a flat monthly fee for Internet access make it possible for a user to fully control over costs of connections with the Internet network. The Home internet Solution has met with approbation of over 100 thousand users in Poland and this number is still growing.
